Boy Scout Events  

As part of our Chapter's support of TU's First Cast initiative we have begun a relationship with several Boy Scout troops in the Cleveland area.

We are looking for TU members who would be available to attend boy scout meetings for any troop.

We are currently working with Troop 226 from Strongsville on their Fly Fishing Merit Badge.  Troop 226 will be scheduled to fly fish on ODNR Castalia Hatchery's section of Cold Creek later this summer.

We need volunteers to work on the committee to help the boys work on the 10 tasks to earn their merit badge.  We will meet with the Troop at their scheduled Tuesday night meetings in Strongsville.  We need 4 or 5 mentors to form a training team.  Each member will get 1 or 2 tasks to teach a small group of boys during a round robin event.  If you feel comfortable teaching certain tasks i.e. basic fly tying, we will make sure you are assigned that task.

We need your help and small amount of your time to make this happen.
